Shipping & Handling
When items ship from our location, we go the extra mile in packing
your item(s) so they will arrive in immaculate condition.
Ragsdale almost always ships your item(s)
via United States Postal Service (USPS). This is true for smaller, lighter
items, as well as items shipped internationally, if the item is too big for the
post office we almost always use Greyhound Package express which requires the
customer be close to the Greyhound Station.
If preferred we also use USA direct which is a shipping / furniture
moving service which delivers door to door over the entire continental USA.
We recognize that the carefulness of delivery services and
personnel can vary. Delivery
damage can occur and is but we have become experts in the arena, and our damage
rates are below 2%. If and
when damage occurs, Ragsdale will do everything possible to help with the
situation and either repair or replace the item as soon as possible. The same
applies to items that may become lost in shipment.
Time-Frames
Please remember
that we are a small craftsman style art studio. We usually have our most
popular items in stock and can deliver them with in 2 weeks. Depending on
the time of year our backlog can be as much as 8 weeks.
Large Items
Many items that
we offer are too large and heavy for standard shipment methods and must be
shipped via freight delivery. Shipping costs for freight delivery is based upon
the following factors:
1) Item size and weight
2) Ship to location (business or residential)
3) Optional residential lift gate delivery
Items that must be shipped via freight delivery is by quote and based upon the
customers origin and the complete ship to location address.
Please contact us for a shipping quote. We do not typically mark up
freight delivery costs. Note: shipping to a business with a loading dock is
typically less cost than a residential delivery.
Someone must be at the delivery location to accept the delivery. Most carriers
will contact the recipient prior to delivery in order to make a delivery
appointment (additional charge may be required for advanced notification).
Some customers prefer to pick up their item(s) at our woodshop. In
this case we would contact you when your item(s) are finished. We will then
facilitate a convenient time for pick up.
Note: Michigan Residents- State sales tax will apply to any item(s)
picked up at our woodshop (currently 6%).
International Orders
Ragsdale can
ship internationally to most countries. Please inquire prior to placing your
order. Please be careful when placing an international order online. You
may want to e-mail us first to check into shipping, and weather or not we can
ship the larger items to you country. Some countries have very poor mail
service, and we reserve the right not to ship to those countries unless the
customer has pre-paid, and takes full responsibility for the possible loss of
the merchandise.
Ragsdale will typically ship via UPS Standard or USPS for International
shipments.
Our
International customers are fully responsible for any possible taxes or tariffs,
from their own respective countries.
On rare occasion, Ragsdale will receive a customs fee invoice from the carrier
many weeks after shipment. The customer/recipient will be responsible for any
and all of these charges.
