Our topcoat is amber lacquer which is resistant to water staining. An annual coat of fine paste wax will preserve the finish and keep the wood from drying out over time.

Johnson's Paste Wax is probably carried at a store near you, and you will be able to save shipping charges. The Briwax, and Liberon brands are imported, and harder to find at local stores. All three brands are very similar.
